Discussion Outline
With the 3G release on April 1, the telecom operators in
China are about to come into the era of full service. The
current development of the domestic telecom industry is
featured by the dominance of certain operator. In the first
half of 2007, the net profit of China Mobile reached 37.9
billion yuan, 18 billion yuan more than the total profits of
the other three operators. The net profit of China Unicom
only has a 30% growth, while the profits of China Telecom
and China Netcom decreased for the first time. Therefore,
the full service is a milestone for the overall development
of the telecom industry in China, as well as an inevitable
path for the improvement of the overall competitiveness of
the industry.

the major revenue generator for both the mobile network and
the fixed network. However, the voice service is facing
